Our driver, Brett, was exceptionally good. Included excursions very good. Hotel ok. Only downside was in booking. When we tried to pay our deposit the website took us back to the pay screen. Assuming the payment had not gone through we tried again with the same result. We tried again the following day and our deposit was successful. However, when I looked at my credit card statement a couple of months later I found that all the payments i.e. 2 deposits and payment in full had gone through and National Holidays had accepted them. Then I received an email asking for the balance of the holiday to be paid. I had to telephone to ask for the overpayment to be refunded. Also we were not sent details of time and place of departure although National advised this would be at least 10 days before departure. 3 days before the holiday I had to ring to ask for this information. The actual holiday was fine but come on National get your administration act together.

Rugby league Majic Weekend
We were at our pick up point Huddersfield bus station early, as was our link Mini bus to Wetherby via Wakefield swift and painless. We then met our coach with the driver for the weekend jovial chap who made himself one of us, rather than aloof and distantas some we have met.
He made sure he dropped us as close to the stadium as possible and was very patient and good humoured to the last ones back.
Saturday evening he was in the bar again being 'one of us' joining in all the light conversations with probably around a dozen of us.
Early start Sun gained us an even nearer parking space to the stadium.
All on the bus early evening and a swift transfer to weatherby, where things went not as smooth taking us over an hour to get back to Huddersfield.
However thoughts of the weekend are, top class made more enjoyable by our amiable driver.

The accommodation and venue was lovely. The hotel staff was excellent and very helpful. The problem was the driver, telling us only use the toilet in emergency and no number 2s . Don't make a mess on the coach ,looking at our food and telling everyone to not eat crisps. The trip was to Alton towers and was full of young children. On the way back . We left at 3 30 . At 4 25 he was making an hour stop so he could have his dinner. A lot of the children had fallen asleep. We ask if we could stay on the coach as we didn't want to wake the children. We couldn't so we had to wait outside for 50 minutes with very tired children who had already eaten . We thought we would be having a 20 minute stop on the wat back for a toilet break. I thought the trip was for the customer comfort and not the drivers .

nice hotel .clean comfortable. mealtimes need better organisation. poor selection of food. my personal opinion not holiday hotel. Bill our driver brilliant.

My daughter and her friend went on a trip to harry potter studio tour on 2/7/22 from a xmas present...the driver was nice and helpful the journey went well coach was comfortable and clean they had free time to see london and picked up again later... hotel was lovely and comfortable nice breakfast the harry potter was amazing would definitely go on this trip again was a great wknd and wonderful package which was a present so i was pleased that they had such a wonderful time.. Thankyou national holidays x.

Bought this as a surprise for my mams 60th Birthday as she has wanted to visit Harry Potter studio for a couple of year now and this trip certainly didn't disappoint ,would highly recommend as my mam and dad had a great experience from the communication from national holidays ,there visit to harry potter studio and spent a good few hours in London the following day to explore before returning home .

Had a really good weekend good value for money

I can’t believe I’m going back to this hotel, have just come back from from a 4 day trip to the Ayrshire coast with national holiday which was lovely. But the hotel needs a lot of work It is very poor, in all areas. Myself and 10yr old granddaughter are going to Edinburgh Tattoo on the 5th August and Adamton is our hotel!

Our holiday up and around Northhumberland ,was good ,only spoilt by having a problem with our seat belts ,having to fight each time we wanted to engage in to holder not easy,needed WD40 to lubricate it , told Driver he looked at them on 7/8 seats was better when you had your OWN buses ,not ones on hire from ,yes good trips ,and good Driver.

Great trip , lovely friendly coach driver and clean modern accommodation. Good food in evening and for breakfast . Very organised - as usual

Unfortunately me and my daughter were seated to the back of the coach just infront of the last 2 rows, where a group of passengers remained rowdy, loud and rude. As a result we couldn't fully relax or even talk without trying to filter out their noise. As a result the whole journey on the coach was just uncomfortable. The coach driver was not very informative/helpful either, he didn't even tell us what time to meet in the morning meaning I had to keep asking questions which was obviously frustrating.
I don't think I'll be booking with national holidays again as people think it's OK to be inconsiderate towards others.

We enjoyed our stay , the hotel was lovely, but no entertainment. Paid for front seat on coach but could not use it due to the size of the person already sat there.

We were picked up in Filey in a shuttle coach which took us to Wetherby services were we boarded our tour coach. Unfortunately on the journey to our first stop at Keswick we were delayed by one and half hours due to an accident, which reduced our stay time to one hour.
Picking us up we were taken to our hotel Summergrove Halls hotel at Whitehaven. We were met in the lounge by the reception staff who gave us some information and our room numbers which were very nice and really clean. The food we were served during our stay was unbelievable a credit to those we did not see who prepared and cooked it. The waiters and waitresses were a credit to the hotel smartly dressed and very efficient. All the hotel staff were so nice my wife and I an a few more people on the tour could have done another few days there. We also visited Grassmere and Kendal all in all a good tour. Would certainly recommend to family and friends.

Driver was great, bus was hot, company should have checked events happening in local area and planned accordingly, and use better hotle.

When we got to London it was pride weekend and the company didn't amend drop off location. So when we arrive they couldn't let us off the bus because roads were closed. Drove around for over an hour looking for a drop off area. In the end we were on the bus for over 8 hours. Then when we were finally off it was nowhere near origanal drop off site so we had to walk a really long way ( through thousands of people and parade barriers) to get to shop we wanted. Then when we arrive at the Hotel, the receptionist wasn't comfortable booking us all in so we had to sit on the bus for another 30min until the manager could arrive on site. Its was late by the time we got into our room and we just wanted to eat and go to sleep. Our rooms air conditioning didn't work so it 23 degrees in our room all night with windows you can't open. Breakfast was included but I wouldn't have payed for it. It was a buffet style but everything was cold and not very appetising. Harry potter was amazing!! But ran short on time. Next time I will drive and plan it all out myself.

Coach driver Joseph was great friendly and helpful however the hotel was ABYSMAL! This was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in dirty unswept carpet(wouldn't walk around without wearing shoes) half a toilet roll dirty cups no tea/coffee refills dust everywhere could write in the dust on both bedside tables. We had to go through 17 plates to find a clean one to eat off. Staff didn't know what the food was for evening meal had to ask the chef. Breakfast was edible but no mugs for hot drinks! Left an item of clothing behind tried ringing hotel for two weeks, no one answers emailed them no reply, totally disgusted by this experience due to covid cancellations in 2020 & 2021 wish this had also been cancelled. Yes, I know it was a budget hotel, but i still expect basic standards to be met. At present we would not book another stay with you maybe that will change in the future. The only positive about our stay was leaving. Always enjoyed our previous trips with you but this was not a happy experience for either of us.
